About Me
My name is Linda Burkle and I live with my husband and children in Chicago, Illinois. My son, William, is 9 and my daughter, Violet, was 7-1 / 2 I love horses, sewing, reading books, Australian shepherds and music. The blog is named after one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs, I had a cute pink 7 "record, it sounded just the word" fuck ".
I started blogging in September 2010 because I like sewing and I am very inspired by blogging. My blog would not exist if it was not for the amazing blog Amy Lou Who and for my partner in drug crime Kim.
My grandmother, my mother and my aunt are all sewing. My grandmother is very good at making and changing clothes. I learned the basics when I was in the 3rd year when my mother learned me a little sugar once and twice. I made a simple dress I proudly in school (my mother's mother did not allow her to wear it). At that time I liked a variety of crazy things, so stitching took a long time.
As an adult, I began to re-sew when my first child was born. I needed something to spend the night in the evening while my baby was asleep and I thought I was sewn. Initially, it started as a week's goal to finish a little syrup, but soon I spent every free hour in evening sewing. I was obsessed. I laugh because I often showed my ready-made bags my grandmother and she is always quick to point out that I turned on my belt or my press is not perfect.
My love for sewing really took me out of my shell. I have always been a shy person, but I believe in myself and in my naïve program, and I can do things I could never have imagined to do in my life. At the end of 2011, I began designing patterns for sewing bags for Pellon projects. They contain step-by-step instructions and photos. Since then I have written two books, edited two bands provided many lessons, two threads of Aurifil and discover my work in several magazines, including contemporary stitch sewing News, Stitch, Generation Q, Contemporary deky Unlimited, etc. My class craftsy called Building Better Bags: Interface and Structure.
I can proudly say that I know Annie soft and stable, Pellon interfacings and Aurifil driver (usually 40 percent, but I also like 50 percent.) In all my bags to use. I use the Juki TL-2010Q Sewing Machine.
